Tell

All Powers possess a Tell, which is a mark of some kind common to all their Power Touched. Tells are generally small and hard to notice at first level, but become larger or more prominent as the character’s level increases. Most Tells have three general ranges: how they appear at low levels (1-6), mid-levels (7-14) and high levels (15-20+).

Having a Tell replaces need for a Holy Symbol. The nature of the Tell is almost always connected to the Attributes and Manifestation of the Power.

An Example: Power Touched of Kiri often find that the plants of the natural world respond to them.
  • Low-levels will find that grasses and flowers strengthen in the presence, bushes and thickets do not grab them as much, and items of old wood that spend a lot of time in their presence can find new growth.
  • Mid-level characters have blooms and flowers increasingly upon their person. They gain a floral scent, first one and then more flowers are always found in their hair, and blossoms appear anyplace they linger.
  • High-level characters drift toward an affinity with a particular bloom, usually of a curative or healing nature, by which they are often known. The character’s skin, hair, and eyes may drift toward the coloration, they may leave that flower’s petals in their wake, and the flower will follow in their shadow anyplace growth will allow.
